mightyoak uk is me, a one-person web design business in Camborne, Cornwall. This page explains what I do with your details when you use this website or get in touch.
What I collect
- The contact form: your name, email address and message. If you add them, also your business name, phone number and the kind of website you picked.
- Calls, texts and emails: whatever you choose to tell me.
How I use it
I use your details to reply to you, give you a quote and, if we work together, build and look after your website. I only use them for the reason you gave them to me, and to keep the business records every business has to. I won't add you to a mailing list, and I never sell or share your details for marketing.
Where it goes
- The contact form sends your message straight to my email inbox. It isn't saved on the website.
- My website and email are run by a web hosting company, so your message passes through their servers. Like every web host, they keep standard security logs, such as IP addresses.
- To stop spam, the form keeps a scrambled copy of your IP address for one hour, so no one address can send dozens of messages.
- The fonts on this site come from Google Fonts, so your browser fetches them from Google, and Google sees your IP address when it does.
How long I keep it
- If you get in touch and we don't end up working together, I delete your messages within 12 months.
- If you become a client, I keep your details and our emails while I look after your website. I keep invoices for as long as HMRC requires.
Your rights
You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Just send me a message through the form on my homepage.
